Carrying their belongings into their new heme Ho Viet Vinh & family welcomed to Mount Joy by church people Last Friday morning Pas- tor and Mrs. W. L. Koder of the Lutheran Church in Mount Joy and Mr. and Mrs. James Heisey of Mount Joy drove to Indian- town Gap and came back with an extended family of Vietnamese. They brought the Vietna- mese to two new apartments where they will live in Springfield Gardens, Mount Joy. The Vietnamese were greeted here and introduced RE Just arrived at their new home into their new’ apartments by Shirley Druck, Beth Linn, Susan Riley, and Dean Riley. The intricacies of an electric stove were ex- plained to the Vietnamese women. Ho Viet Vinh, who spent a year in flight school in Texas, started to sing ‘“‘Home Sweet Home’ to the tune of ‘‘Home on the Range’’ when he saw his new home. Ho and his brother-in-law Nguyen Cuu Lam will be in Mount Joy working at Ladder Towers, Inc., in Lancaster, where Mr. Riley is an executive. The families are being sponsored by the Greentree Church of the Brethren, and the Lutheran Church in Mount Joy; and Donegal Presbyterian Church and the Lutheran Church in Maytown, The Lutheran Church in Marietta, the United Church of Christ, the Church of God, the United Methodist Church and the Lutheran Church all in Elizabethtown. guests of Ellsworths in Marietta 8% Mrs. Delbert W. Ellsworth, Ten Cents Qua Chan Chung, Chieu Wong, For the past month, Qua Chan Chung and Chieu Wong from Vietnam, have been the guests of Prof. and 7 Donegal Place, Marietta. As their sponsor, Del and Mary Lou Ellsworth, have given them a room and board in their house and found them jobs at Host Farm in Lancaster. Soon the two young Vietnamese will be moving to their own apartment in Lancaster. Both young men have lost touch with their families in Saigon. Both served in the Vietnamese Navy. Qua is trained in electronics and Chieu is a skilled plumber and electrician. The Ellsworth’s have found it extremely easy and pleasant to sponsor Qua and Chieu. Both young men have been extremely helpful around their place. There are 5,000 more young men at Indiantown Gap waiting for sponsors.
