Vol. 75 No. 28 July 23, 1975 Ten Cents Carol, Mildred, and Barbara Brubaker Mrs. Brubaker, Queen of Kitchen, by daughter Barbara nominated Mrs. Mildred (Clarence B.) Brubaker, Mount Joy R.D. 1, is the Susquehanna Bulletin’s first Queen of the Kitchen. : She was nominated by her daughter Barbara, who wrote us the following letter: Dear Editor: As soon as 1 saw the article for the *‘Queen of the Kitchen’’ contest, 1 knew I had to enter my mom, Mrs. Clarence B. Brubaker. She, in my opinion, is the best cook in the world. She spends many hours in the kitchen making sure we always have something good to eat. My favorite dessert of her's is her homemade cherry pie. It’s simply, the best. And it’s made from her homecanned cherries. That's another thing, My Mom spends a great deal of the summer canning and freezing our home-grown vegetables so we have lots of good food to eat in the winter. Eg I not only vote for my mom as the best cook but also the hardest working cook. Please enter my mother; Mrs. Mildred Bru- baker in your contest for Queen of the Kitchen.
