A special collection of recipes from senior citizens will also be included. The Joycee-ettes are look- ing for recipes from women in the community. Your name and recipe will be printed in the plastic bound | book. If you would like to contribute a recipe, send it with your name and phone number to Mrs. Sandra Rossman, 335 Marietta Ave., Mount Joy, PA 17552, or Mrs. Linda Kerchner, 53 Donegal Springs - Road, Mount Joy, by October 1, 1980. The - Joycee-ettes would prefer recipes listed in a particular food group, such as: main dishes, appetizers, breads and rolls, cakes and cookies, jelly and jam, soup and salads, vegetables, desserts or miscellaneous. If you would like to order any copies of the cookbook, please indicate how many and include this information with the recipes sent to the organization. The cost of the completed cookbook will be $3.50. The Joycee-ettes wish to thank all who contribute recipes for their cookbook. MRA to hold first meeting Sept. 18; Rosemary Patterson to give program The first meeting of the new season for the Marietta Restoration Associates will take place at the Community House at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18th. A special program will be presented by Rosemary Patterson who will demon- strate ideas for decorating for this year’s Candlelight Tour. Lung Assoc. of PA sponsors 25-mile trek Experienced hikers and backpackers are invited to participate in the Pennsyl- vania Trek for Life and Breath on October 10, 11, and 12, 1980. The Trek is co-sponsored by the local Lung Associations of Penn- sylvania and Mutual of New York. A 25-mile trek has been developed along the Horse Shoe Trail to begin in Mt. Gretna, Lebanon County, and end in Denver, Lan- caster County. Hikers are required to accumulate support for their efforts in the form of pledges. Registration deadline for the Horse Shoe Trek is September 26. For further information contact the Lancaster County Lung Association, 630 Janet Ave- nue, Lancaster, at 397-5203. The date for this year’s tour is Sunday, Dec. 7, from 2 to 7 p.m. Coordinators are Mary Anne Spangler and Linda Ross. The church was independently organized in 18SS. The first structure was built in 1876 at 100 West Walnut Street, Marietta, and the current edifice is located along Route 441. The week of September 21 has been designated as the anniversary week, with the kick-off service scheduled for Sunday. The Rev. Theodore F. Schneider, Dean of the Lancaster District and pastor of the Church of the Good Shep- herd, Lancaster, will be the speaker. plans 125th anniversary celebration Guest soloist will be Charles Williams.
