Champion honors were split this year at the Eastern National Brown Swiss Show, held Monday during the 30th Pennsylvania AU- American Dairy Show in Hanisbuig. Officials said they were pleased with the large number of Brown Swiss exhibitors this year. Wayne Sliker of St Paris, Ohio, a regular winner at previous All- Americans, served as judge for this year’s Eastern National Brown Swiss Show. Charles Lee Chaney of New Windsor, exhibited the grand champion female and the reserve grand champion. The champion was “Hawthorne Rythmic Riki,” winner in the 4-year-old cow class, and “Long View Jades Rai sin,” winner in the 5-year-olds, was the reserve champion. Carol Davis of Vassalboro, Maine, exhibited the champion bull, a senior bull calf named “Roseledge Jade Linwood,” Gary Lee Mase of Lebanon, exhibited the reserve champion bull, “Herit age Hill Rolex.” Rebecca Long of Thurmont, Maryland, exhibited the junior champion female, “Long View Chall Rosemary,” an intermediate calf. The reserve junior champion female was “My-T-Fine Rowdy,” a winter yearling heifer exhibited by Gary and Susanne Klump of Appleton, New York. The William Daubert family of Pine Grove, picked up the banner for premier breeder, while the William Kelly family of Winches ter, New Hampshire, was named the premia- exhibitor.
