These sales covered an area that ex tended from Kansas to Tennessee to Vermont. The highest prices in the sales ranged from $41,000 to $675. Here are the results of how these sales fared. The Ohio Holstein Heifer Sale averaged $1444.93 on 74 head. It was topped by a very good classified daughter from Walkway Chief Mark that sold for $4,200. The New York State Guernsey Sale was topped by a two-year-old cow from Ripley Kellogs Dailey. She sold for $1,050. The bred heifer and cow portion of this sale averaged $735 on 20 head. The calf sale was topped by a Welcome Choice Admiral daughter that sold for $675. Seventeen calves averaged $360. A three-year-old Valiant daughter sold for $11,500 at the Vermont State Spring Holstein Sale. An average of $1,784.22 was realized on the 22 head sold. Massachusetts hosted this year’s North American Spring Spec tacular. Hie highest price in this sale was $3,750 on a two-year-old daughter from Tikva Farms Ancromy. The sale averaged $1,277 on 77 head. The Winfarm Complete Herd Dispersal in New York sold 155 head for a $1,380 average. The highest price at this sale, $27,600, was achieved by Winfarm T T Iris- Red an excellent four-year old. The second highest price of $24,000 went to her service age son by Glenafton Enhancer. An female embryo by the Quickshot bull pulled down the highest price of $lO,OOO in the Appalachia Spring Spectacular Sale, TN. This sale averaged $1,901 on 64 head. The Wisconsin Spring Spec tacular Sale averaged $1,990 on 102 consignments which included six embryos. A five-year-old very good Valiant daughter topped this sale with the price of $3,800. This sale average $1,627.68 on 84 head. The Mid States Ayrshire Sale sponsored by the Ayrshire clubs from Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas averaged $715.73 on 41 head. A bred heifer by Heather Grove High Noon topped the sale with a price of $1,550. The highest price at the Buckeye Valley Dispersal Sale was $10,500. A six-year-old daughter of Hanover Hill Triple Threat achieved this price. This sale averaged $10,500 on 101 head. Marlene F.
