Nominate your top dairy individual World Dairy Expo is seeking nominations of outstanding per sons to be cited for their con tributions to the dairy industry. The individuals selected will be honored at a Recognition Reception and Banquet scheduled for Tuesday, September 30th on the grounds of the Dane County Ex position Center, Madison, Wisconsin. For awards will presented. One award is presented to the Man of the Year, who must be an active dairy farmer whose main source of income is derived from the farm; the second to the In dustry Person of the Year, who must be a salaried person paid by industry. The third award goes to the National Dairy Woman. She must be an active partner in the farm again be Lancaster Fanning, Saturday, April 12,1986-A35 operation, with her selection based on cosntributions to the farm, family and community. The fourth award category is International Person of the Year. Qualified individuals include dairy farmers or representatives of dairy industry from any country other than the United States who have contributed to dairy farming or the dairy industryon an in ternational level. Select Sires, Inc. and Harding & Harding, Inc. provide the award plaques signed by the President of the United States for each of the recipients. In addition, .the National Dairy Woman receives a trip for herself and her husband to World Dairy Expo. The National Dairy Woman program is sponsored annually by Associated Milk Producers, Inc., Mid-America Dairymen, Inc., Golden Guernsey Dairy Cooperative and The Swiss Valley Farm Dairymen. Recognized in 1985 were EUGENE NELSON, Union Grove, Wisconsin, THOMAS L. LYON, Shawano, Wisconsin and DORIS HETTS, Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin. All are active on state and national levels in promoting the dairy in dustry. DR. MARIA STOLZMAN, Warsaw, Poland was honored as the International Person of the Year. Nominations for the 1986 awards must be postmarked by May 31, 1986. World Dairy Expo is an in ternational trade show for dairy farmers attracting nearly 90,000 visitors from across the United States and from as many as 54 countries.
