There were both positive and nega tive signs in the 2000 NBA All-Star game this past weekend that give NBA fans a sense of where the league is headed this century. It's obvious that success in the NBA isn't measured by showoff youngsters. It's measured by expe rience and fundamentals, however "boring" that may sound.
