One young lady rises enrly, rolls up her sleeves, goes Into the kitchen to get breakfast, or Insists upon doing so, and afterwards, with cheerful and sunny smiles, puts the house In order without the assistance of" Mother." She will make a good wife, and render home a paradise. Young man, " get her!" Another young lady is a parlor beauty, pallid from company, dissipation and want of excercise, reads novels and al most dies of lazy ness, while the poor old mother does her washing. Hhc is a use less piece of furniture, an annoyance to the husband she may chance to " rope in," and will go willingly to her grave. Young man, " let her alone!" To Ran. a Turkeys. Messrs. Hayden & Vael, of New Mil ford, Pa., writiug to The Poultry Yard on the raising of turkeys, says: We sprinkle with Persian powder both the hen and young turkeys, when we take thtftn from the nest; then place the hen in an ordinary coop, and build around the coop a board pen about ten feet square and two feet high ; keep them in this until they are well feathered, or until they can fly out themselves. Feed boiled eggs and soft bread until one week old. We have followed this rule successfully for two seasons, and have only lost one turkey, and that one got hurt. Wheat Grading. In the past few years the introduction of the new machinery for the new pro cess of grinding flour, has revolutionized wheat growing and wheat grading. Formerly amber and white grades com manded much better prices than red wheat, but now red is the most valuable for milliner purposes. The millers are able to use spring wheat to almost as good an advantage as winter wheat. There used to be seven cents difference between the two varieties ; now the difference can be spanned by two cents. A Good Receipt In Bad Verse.
