COME---ENJOY —- ’ When the flood waters from tropical storm Eloise went down, the picnic tables at the cove in Mount Joy had disappeared down the Little Chickies creek. Ray Little’s horticulture class, from Mount Joy Vo-tech, went looking for the missing tables. A couple of tables were sitting on top of fences. Students used a tractor to haul the tables from the log jams and carry them back to the picnic area. Others were stuck in log jams in the creek. Broken tables were re- paired. The picnic area is owned by Mount Joy Vo-tech. Horticulture students made big planters from old tires they found along the creek after the flood. NEW ADDITION !TO MENU!
