Obituaries Mrs. J. Moreland Mrs. Ellen M. Moreland, 77, Marietta R1, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday while attending a wedding at the Word of Life Chapel, Bain- bridge R1. Born in Loysville R1, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Maude Min- nich Moyer, Loysville. She retired after 10 years as a school teacher in the Perry County and District of Columbia School Districts. She was a graduate of Shippensburg State Normal School and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Maytown. She was the wife of John Frank Moreland. They celebrated their S4th wed- ding anniversary in Decem- ber. In addition to her hus- band, she is survived by two sons, the Rev. F. Elwood Moreland and Lester E. Moreland, both of Orange, Calif; a daughter Ruth, wife of Donald M. Sweitzer, Williamsville, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Wiley, Mount Joy Rl; four grand- children; two great-grand- children; a brother, Frank M. White, Lancaster, and two sisters, Pauline Bowers and Violet, wife of John Atkins, both of Lancaster. RAYMOND BYLE Raymond Byle of Mount Joy died Thursday at 2p.m. in his home at 48 E. Main St. Mr. Byle was 79 years old and had been under the care of a physician. He was retired from the Savoy Shoe Company. He belonged to the Mount Joy Church of God, Pace- maker club of Lancaster, and Cassiphia Lodge Free and Accepted Masons 551 in Mount Joy, where he was once a master, Lodge of Perfection in Reading, Ra- jah Temple in Reading, Lancaster Shrine, Mystic Order of 101 Degree Orien- tal Band. Originally from Lebanon County, Mr. Byle was the son of the late Frank and Alice Byle and the husband of Doris Ealy Byle. He is survived by his widow and four sons, Gerald, living in Maryland; Harold, living in Missouri; Robert of Cornwell Heights, and Kenneth J., living at home.
