Hartman, Fra- ternal Insurance Counsellor was cited for his outstanding life insurance service at the annual convention of the National Association of Fra- ternal Insurance Counsel- lors which met May 2 at the Sheraton-Dallas Hotel, Dallas, Texas. He is District Representative for Lutheran Brotherhood of Minne- apolis, Minnesota. Hartman was awarded 2 certificates of recognition for Quality Service and Million Volume Club in 1974. As a Fraternal Insur- ance Counsellor, he was required to complete an extensive basic and advance training course, pass three comprehensive examina- tions, and meet established production requirements. The meeting will be held at the library at 3:00 p.m. Betty Groff, co-owner of the Groff Farm Restaurant and author of the popular ‘“Good Earth and Country Cooking,”” will speak. In addition to running her nationally recognized res- taurant, the Mount Joy woman has just been named to the board of directors of Nationwide Corp., a nation- al insurance company. She also has traveled throuugh- out the country for cooking demonstrations and speak- ing engagements. A coun- try girl touring the big city can have some strange and amusing experiences and Mrs. Groff will describe hers Sunday afternoon. The purpose of the meeting ‘will be to elect members to the board of directors and to establish guidelines for the future functioning of the organiza- tion.
