Lesher, 202 Fedrick street in Mount Joy. He is a senior in the academic course. Brian’s high school acti- vities have included drama- tics, the newspaper, Cho- Kohler speaks on ‘Women’ by Hazel Baker Mrs. Richard Kohler was guest speaker for the Mount Joy Business and Profes- sional Women’s Club meet- ing at the Mount Joy American Legion. The Subject of Mrs. Kohler’s discussion was ‘‘Women in General ’’, The program revolved around mothers. According to the speaker, women are creatures of God Like roses, they grow, glow, and mature. Mrs.. Harold Keller "received a plant for being the “mother of eight and Mrs. Ann Elvin for having eight grandchildren. Myrtle Best, a member of the Lancaster Opera work- shop, presented several vocal selections accomp- anied by Vi Shannonbrook. Mrs. Barry Etsell, chair- person of the Personal Development committee in- troduced the speaker and thanked members of her committee: Joyce Brown, Marlene Drace, Crystal Fac- ler, Dorothy Heilig, Kathryn Sharffer and Mary Mitzka- vich Miss Helene Dalkiewicz, girl of the month was introduced by Mrs. James Heilig as was her mother, Mrs. Ted Dalkiewicz, whom was also a guest of the club. Mrs Gerald Sheetz, presi- ness meeting when the rus, Brigadoon, a part in ‘Camelot’, in the Junior Class Play, and the Senior Class Play. He was also active in the National Honor Society, Newspaper Club, the chess club and received a NEDT Certificate. Brian is a member of Saint Mark’s United Metho- dist Church, participated in the Career Elective program with Gochenauers Kennels, and plans to attend Clarion State College and major in Drama. GIRL OF THE MONTH Kim Lauver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lauver, 213 Mount Joy St., Mount Joy, is Girl of the Month for June. She is a member of the senior class of Donegal High School and her high school activities have included track, Gym Leaders Club, the band, the dramatics club, Brigadoon, a leading role in ‘Camelot’, Chorus, County Chorus, District Chorus, Summer Theatre group voted for the histori- cal society to sponser the tour of homes. Mrs. Ben Horst, Jr., chairperson of the summer theater party announced the event will be held August Sth at the Host Farm and will include dinner and entertainment. The June Meeting will be held on the 23rd at 6:30 P.M. at Hostetters Banquet Hall and Mrs. Mary An- drews, District Director will install the 17 new members and officers for the ’75-’76 term. SGT. WATTS SERVING AT CHARLESTON AFB* S.C. Now serving at Charles- ton AFB, South Carolina, with a Military Airlift Command unit is Staff Sergeant Barry L. Watts, brother of Audrey Embly of 17 West Elizabeth, May- town. Sergeant Watts, a flight engineer, was previously assigned to Wright-Patter- son AFB, Ohio. She is a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church of Mount Joy where she is an active member of the choir. Following graduation from Donegal High School she plans to continue her music education, but at this time has not definitely decided on the school she will enter. Pennsylvanians in Washington join together to form society A Lancaster Countian, Dick Mohler, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Pennsyl- vania Society of Washing- ton, D.C. Mr. Mohler is a federal executive. He is a foreign service officer. Currently he is the Deputy Planning Manager of the Motion Picture and Television Service, U. S. Information Agency. The Pennsylvania Society is one of the largest and most active in Washington. All Pennsylvanians-by birth, marriage, or education-are eligible to join the Society if they currently reside in the National Capital area. Tuesday of last week was Pennsylvania Bicentennial MICHAEL MCDOWELL GRADUATES Michael McDowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mc- Dowell, West Market St., Marietta, graduated Cum Laude from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary of the United Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh. Receiving the degree of Master of Divinity, Mc- Dowell was first in a class of 90. The Donegal High School graduate also grad- uated from Grove City College and is married to the former Bonnie Hazlett who is a music instuctor in the Mount Lebanon Schools. Gover- nor Kline attended from the state. Mayor Washington issued a proclamation de- signating the day for Penn- sylvania. Most Pennsylvan- ia Members of Congress also participated. The Vorspiel Choir from the Ephrata Cloisters sang at the Kennedy Center as part of the day’s activities. Dick Mohler is looking for other Lancaster Countians to join him in the Society.
