Newcomer, 66 West Donegal St., Mount Joy will be one of the candi- dates in the Nursing Profess- ion to vie for the title of Miss Hope. The contest which is sponsored by the American Cancer Society to emphasize the hopeful side of cancer, will be held Sat- urday, January 25th at the Treadway Inn. The young woinan selected that evening by a panel of judges will be- come Miss Hope of Lancaster city for the year and will re- present the Lancaster City Unit at the Pennsylvania Crusade Xick-off in April, when the new Miss Hope for Pa., will be chosen. Anne is a graduate of Deongal High School (lass of 1972, she is presently enrolled in the Practical Nursing program of the Lan- caster Vo-Tech School, where she is treasurer of her class. She is the daughter of Mrs. Florence Stoner, Pinkerton Road, Mount Joy. Her interests include ballet, piano and furniture refinish- ing.
