January 22, 1975 Scout Night at Her shey At the Hershey Bears Hoc- key Game on January 8, the Western District in coopera- tion with Hershey Bears re- activated the custom of “Scout Night” and induc- tion of boys as members of the Honorary Hershey Bears Scouting Unit. Boys who were recruited in the Western District of Lancaster Lebanon Council during the 1974 Fall Round Up were eligible for honor- ary membership. Between the first and second periodsapproximate- ly 120 boys were escorted to the ice by unit and dis- trict personnel where Bill Inguis, the captain of the Bears, administered the spec: ial Hershey Bears Honor- ary Western District Scout- ing Oath. On leaving the ice the boys received a souvineer of the occasion. Units represented were: Pack 36, Rheems, Pack 37 Landisville; Pack 85, Eliza- bethtown; Pack 90, Farm- dale; Pack 112, Lancaster; Pack 120, Rohrerstown; Pack 136, Mount Joy; Pack 162, Bainbridge; Pack 396, Lancaster; Troop 51, Eliza- bethtown; Troop 98, Roh- rerstown. : The unit with the largest number of boys was Pack 136 of Mount Joy. Scholarships available Attention Juniors - Coll- ege Board Scholastic Apti- tude Tests are scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 1975. Applications to take these tests must be sent to Prince- ton, NJ before February 27 Your counselor will help you complete them. Fee for taking the test is $6.50 unless you file a late application thenit is $10.50. We recommend that all Juniors who are considering attending college following graduation from Donegal High take these tests. The Pennsylvania Higher Educa- tion Assistance Agency uses name and address lists from this test to send out scholar- ship applications. Governor’s School for the Arts - Again this year the Governor’s School for the Arts will be held at Bucknell University from July 9 to August 16, 1975. The school is open to 10th and 11th grade stu- dents with artistic ability in one or more of the following areas: Art, Music, Theater, Dance, Photographic Arts. Sperry-New Holland an- nounces beginning in 1975 the Sperry Rand Corpora- tion will sponsor up to 10 four-year scholarships annu- ally for sons and daughters of full-time Sperry employ- ees. His home is at Mount Joy, Pa., and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Koser. While at Pipestem, Koser will work in all departments at the park including Ad- ministration, Sales, Reserva- tions, and Maintenance. His current trip is his first visit to southern West Virginia and he has been highly complimentary of Pipestem Park and the scen- ery.
