Supplemental Regulations Administration and Enforcement Copies of the proposed ordinance are available for inspection during normal business hours at the Mount Joy Municipal Building. 28-2¢ N ORDINANCE NO. 367 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MOUNT JOY, LANCASTER COUNTY, PA., AMENDING THE ORDINANCE OF JUNE 2, 1952, AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED AND ORDINANCE NO. 307 ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT TO BE DEPOSITED IN PARKING METERS AND THE FINES FOR VIOLATION - A AAA LINES RAN THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Mount Joy, .Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and it is hereby ordained and enacted as follows: Section 66. Coin Deposit in Meters. Upon parking any vehicle in a parking meter zone at amy time during which the parking limit provisions of this ordinance (12) are in effect, the operator thereof shall, upon entering the designated parking space, immediately deposit or cause to be deposited a five-cent coin or coins or a ten-cent coin of the United States in the designated slot of the parking meter controlling such parking space, and, on a manually operated parking meter, operate it in ac- cordance with the directions thereon. Upon the deposit of such coin or coins and the placing of the said meter in operation, such parking space may be lawfully occupied by any vehicle during the period of time as indicated on the parking meter. If a vehicle remains in a parking space ‘for such a length of time that the meter shall indicate that the lawful parking period has expired, such vehicle shall be considered as parked overtime, and in violation of this ordinance. The coins deposited shall permit the legal parking of a vehicle in a parking zone at the following rates: a. Each nickel ($.05) will provide 12 minutes of parking time when deposited up to the maximum time indicated on the meter. b. Each dime ($.10) will provide one hour of parking time when deposited up to the maximum time indicated on the meter. Section 72. Report of Violations; Effect of Payment of $2.00 by Violator Within 24 Hours. It shall be the duty of the police officers of the Borough acting under instructions of the Mayor and Chief of Police to report violations of this ordinance, (16) giving the parking meter number where violation occurred, date and hour of violation, State license number of the vehicle and such police officer shall place a notice on such vehicle to owner or operator that the violation has oc- curred and directing such owner or operator to the Mayor of the Borough. Such owner or operator may within twenty-four hours of time of said notice pay to the Mayor as penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation, the sum of $2.00. Failure to make such payment within said time shall render such owner or operator subject to the penalties hereinafter (17) provided for violation of this. ordinance. Section 73. Penalty for Violation.
