AJ ® ® They all are part of the borough’s recent move to have a comprehensive study made of the community and to have a look at its resourc- es, its people and its probable growth. ® ® ® One question, however, is worded unfortunately. It asks for the person who is making the report to indi- cate in which ward of the borough he lives and leaves blanks for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Mount Joy's wards are East West and Florin. Local people should simply write at the bottom, near the blanks, eith- er, East, West or Florin. 9 ® © The blanks were made up by someone in Lancaster who did not know how Mount Joy designates its three voting wards. Parents Band Club Meets The Band Parent Club of Donegal high school met on Manday night, Nov. 4 in the Cafeteria. The band wili play in Harrisburg in the Parade of Bands on Saturday Nov. 23, and Nov. 28 they will play in the Gimble Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia. The Band club decided to sponsor a Bus for the trip to see the parade in Philadel- phia. Anyone wishing to go may call Mrs. Crawl 653. 1219. The price is $3 a per- son. Call for reservations at once. The Parent band club de- cided to buy a Sonophone and case for the band. Needle Guild Holds Election More than 2200 garments were contributed to Mount Joy Chapter of the Needle- work Guild of America, for the annual ingathering hela last week. Four hundred and six items were contributed by Girl Scout troops, which had 200 girls present at the tea in their honor. Mrs. Samuel Balsbaugh presided at the covered dish dinner and meeting. The nominating committee, including Mrs. Adam Greer Mrs. Raymond Gilbert, and Mrs. Wilmer Shoop presented this slate of officers which was elected: Mrs. Samuel Balsbaugh, president, Mrs, Adam Greer, vice-president, Mrs. James Baker, secretary, Mrs. Arthur Hostetter, assist- ant secretaary and Mrs. Mel’ vin Weaver, treasurer. One new director was announced —Mrs. Lester Eshelman. The president appointed an auditing committee consist- ing of Mrs. Raymond Gilbert, Mrs. Paul Stoner and Mrs. Maurice Bailey.
