1,230 Die At Grade Crossings Grade crossing accidents de- creased slightly last year, but some 1,230 persons still died in such railroad accidents during 1962, reports Key- stone Automobile Club. That figure virtually was identical with the three-year 1959-1961 average of 1,223 grade crossing deaths result- ing from collisions of motor vehicles and trains.
