E-town schedules ‘Twilight Trot,’ 10,000 meter race, for August 24 On Sunday, August 24, at 6:30 p.m., the Twilight Trot—a 10,000 meter (ap- proximately 6.2 miles) run will be held in Elizabeth- town. All runners and joggers are invited to participate. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each men’s and women’s category: 15 and under, high school students, 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, S0 and over. All individuals will receive a ‘‘Twilight Trot’’ T-shirt. The run will begin from, and end at, the Elizabeth- town Area High School Tight race continues for Chiques volleyball With only one week of play remaining in the Chiques A.A.A. Co-ed Vol- leyball League, the Hot Shots hold a one-game lead. They earned this top spot in the standings after eight weeks of play. On July 30 the Dinkers won their first match of the season and dropped the Avengers out of first place for the first time this summer, with 15-9, 16-18 and 15-13 scores. The Hot Shots moved into first place by defeating the Power Hitters in the second match with scores of 3-15, 15-11 and 15-10. On August 6 the Power Hitters moved into second place with a 13-15, 15-7 and 15-5 win over the Dinkers. In the second match the Hot Shots defeated the Aveng- ers 14-16, 15-10 and 15-8. Ladies Aux. to fire co. plans sale The Ladies Auxiliary of the Mount Joy Fire Co. will hold a baked goods sale on August 22, 3 pm, in front of the Hy-Lo Store, Mount Joy. A witness reported that Jackson was thrown from the truck cab as high as the wire of a nearby Utility line. Jackson, the son of Charles P. and Elaine Merrifield Jackson, was born in Lancaster. He lived the first nine years of his life in Elizabethtown and had spent the past seven in Bainbridge. Jackson was active in sports, participating with the track team, the junior high football and wrestling teams, and midget football. NOAH A. SENTZ Noah A. Sentz, Columbia RD1, died last week at his home. He was 80. Mr. Sentz operated the Chiquesville Mobile Home Park at his Columbia address. He also operated a Columbia service station and trailer hauling company for many years. Sentz founded the Inter- national Fan Travel Trailer Club and its local Friends and Neighbors chapter. He belonged to the Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Lancaster. He was the husband of Mary Haldeman Sentz. Born in York County, he was the son of the late Jacob H. and Ellen Sechrist Sentz. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Helen M., wife of Carl N. Haas, Ephrata RD4; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and the fol- lowing brothers and sisters: Seth Jacob Sentz, Hellam; Cora M. Wyman, Miami, Fla.; Ruth A Shoalts, Ontario, Canada; Luther T. Sentz, Manheim RD4; and Phoebe G. Sentz, Mount Joy.
