FELKER Lloyd G. Lehman Nursing Home, Rheems, formerly of 221%: East Main St., Mount Joy, died at St. Joseph Hospital last week, following a lengthy illness. He was 78. In 1966 he retired from the Olmstead Army Depot, Middletown, after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mount Joy. Births LINTNER, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Jean Geiger), Mount Joy, a son at the General Hospital last week. Felker of Felker was born in Rheems, the son of the late Abram K. and Katie S. Gibble Felker. He is survived by two sisters: Minnie, wife of David M. Hostetter, Gor- donville; and Verna, wife of Abram D. Sload, Lancaster; and nieces and nephews. ROBERT D. HOMSHER Robert D. Homsher, 29, of 20 South Locust Street, MADSEN, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne (Jacklyn Brogan), 31 West Market St., Marietta, a son at the General Hospital last week. Hoffer family reunion held in Middletown 78 descendants of Mathias Hoffer held their annual reunion at Hoffer Park, Middletown, last weekend. The land on which the park is established was donated by Christian Hoffer in 1917 in memory of his great - great - grandfather Mathias Hoffer. The grant included the stipulation that the descendants may hold the family reunion each year on the Sunday closest to July 29, the doner’s birth- day. The Hoffer family placed a plaque near the entrance of the park in 1970. The marker contains a likeness of Hoffer, his birthdate and the date of his death. Christian Hoffer original- ly lived on a farm adjoining the park which includes 12'%2 acres of flat wooded land on the Swatara Creek. The Mark Family reunion was held at Mount Joy's Sico park recently. Officers for the 1981 year were elected at the event. They are: Robert Mark, pres- ident; Elwood Earhart, vice president; Shirley Brown, secretary; and Almos Ear- hart, treasurer. Entertainment at the reunion was provided by Dana Mark and the Rev. George Mark. Attending the event were Robert Mark, Ann Mark, Tina Mark, Roberta Mark, Middletown area residents use the park as a means of recreation. A rededication was held in 1945 when the town officials placed tables and benches for a picnic area. Current officers of the clan are: Dale Hoffer, Lititz, president; Donald Hoffer, Middletown, vice president; Audrey Retherford, Bain- bridge, treasurer and histor- ian, and Bea Hoffer, Elizabethtown, secretary. Entertainment at this year’s picnic was provided in the form of vocal selections from Karen Hoff- er, Lititz; an historical outline by Paul Hoffer, Millersville; and a memorial service by Merle Hoffer, Lancaster. Marietta, died last week at the Lebanon Veterans Ad- ministration Medical Cen- ter. He was a disabled U.S. Navy. He was born in Carlisle, the son of David and Mary Hall Homsher, Columbia. He was the husband of Janice Drace Homsher. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Mountville and the Donegal Boat Club. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three children: Joan Ziegler, Alexandria, Ark., William and Brian, at home; and a sister, Barbara, wife of Harvey L. Fenstermacher, Rohrerstown. MARY ZERPHY Mrs. Mary Kaylor Zerphey, 79, of RD2, Mount Joy, died last week at the General Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of Harry Geib Zerphey who died March of this year. Born in Rowena, she was) a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Brandt Kaylor. She was a member of the Florin Church of the Breth- ren. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane, wife of Michael R. Wargo, Columbia RDI; a foster son, Robert J. Tormo, Elizabetown RD1; four fos- ter grandchildren; three foster great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
