Kicking off the 10th anniversary celebrations, special guests were given a tour of the plant facilities recently. Among those participating in the tour were, left to right, Plant Manager Don Wain, and guests, Richard R. Filling, State Representative Kenneth E. Brandt, and State Lancaster Co. Library sponsors poetry contest The Lancaster County Library will sponsor a poetry competition for high school students to be awarded at the Friends of the Library Author’s Day, April 27, 1980. High school students throughout the county are invited to submit original works of unpublished poetry to the Lancaster County Library by April 18, 1980. The contest is in honor of the late F. Lyman Win- dolph, prominent Lancaster County attorney, former president and member of the Lancaster County Li- brary Board and author of several books of poetry and essays. Contest rules are as follows: 1. The contest is open to Lancaster County high school students, grades 9 through 12. 2. The poetry submitted must be original and unpublished. 3. Format, style and subject matter are un- restricted. 4. Entries must be type- written on single sheets of 8% x 11% paper, double spaced. Contestant’s name, address, school and grade level must be typewritten on the reverse side(s) of each entry submitted. S. Two entries per student may be submitted. 6. Submit entries and requests for further inform- ation to: Poetry Competi- tion, Lancaster County Li- brary, 125 North Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. 7. Deadline for entries is April 18, 1980. A committee of local published poets will judge the entries. The winner of the competition will receive a book award at the Friends of the Library Author’s Day celebration. SUBSCRIBE TODAY!
