Chair- people are still needed for refreshments and the cancer swim marathon. One of the most important items on the agenda is ordering bathing suits. The same color and style will be used as last year, but if anyone needs to order one he should go to Kenny Smith’s as soon as possible and order one. All dues must be paid before the first swim meet in order for the swimmer to be eligible to participate. The club is still working on hiring a new coach and assistant coach. May 2, 1979 Self-portrait of Alan Cober, Ad Club guest speaker Noted illustrator in Lancaster The Lancaster Ad Club's speaker for the May 10th meeting will be the inter- nationally acclaimed illus- trator, Alan Cober. Among the magazines that have published his work are Sports Illustrated, Life, Redbook, McCall's, the Saturday Evening Post, and Time. He has won over 200 awards and has been represented in many na- tional drawing shows, in- cluding shows at the Brooklyn Museum and the New York Historical Soci- ety. Two children’s books which he illustrated have been on the New York Times’ ten best list for illustration. The meeting will be held at the Lancaster Sherwood Knoll Inn, Centerville Exit off Rte. 30.
