Klepper, Jr. is new pastor at Trinity Lutheran congregational meeting fol- lowing the Suday morning worship service. The Rev. Klepper has been assistant to the Rev. Dr. Howard J. McCarney, President of Central Pen- nsylvania Synod, Harris- burg, for the past six years. He graduated in 1960 from Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, and Gettysburg Theological Seminary in December 1, 1976 1963 with a bachelor of divinity, professional de- gree in pastoral care. The Rev. Klepper served as pastor of St. James and St. Luke Lutheran Chur- ches, Red Lion, until 1967 when he became pastor of Messiah and St. James Lutheran Churches in Tur- botville. He and his wife, Barb- ara, are the parents of one son and three daughters. Three local men bag black bears Three local men shot bears when hunting season opened last week.
