December 1, 1976 Carl F. Schaty Carl F. Schatz, 71, of Mount Joy R2, died Sunday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Beatrice SS. Brown, Mount Joy, follow- ing an extended illness. His wife, Esther Collins Schatz, died in November, 1975. He was a self-employed farmer and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy. He was also a member of the Friendship Fire Company 1, Mount Joy. Born in Mount Joy, he was a son of the late George W. and Mary Frank Schatz. He is survived only by his sister, Mrs. Brown. Willis R. Hewk Willis R. Hersh, 88, formerly of Mount Joy RI, died Saturday at 1:35 p.m. at the Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, fol- lowing a lengthy illness. He was a resident of the home for 25 years. He was born in Mount Joy Township, the son of the late Benjamin F. Amanda R. Risser Hersh. His wife, Anna Miller Hersh, Died in 1978S. He was a member of the Mount Joy Mennonite Church. He was a retired blacksmith and farmer. He is survived by nieces and nephews. Qomes A. Avew James A. Avers, 28, of 430 Florin Ave., Mount Joy, died at 8:55 a.m. Friday in Lancaster General Hospital. He had been ill seven months. He was assistant press- man for Donnelley Printing Co., Lancaster. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Emmanual Baptist Church, Elizabethtown. He was born in Keyser, W. Va., a son of Junior A. and Wanda Lantz Avers of Keyser, W. Va. Surviving, besides his parents, are his widow, Gerri Rinard Avers; a daughter Rebecca L., at home; these brothers; Douglas L., Jerry L. and Dennis E., all of Mount Joy; a sister, Carole A., wife of Leston Daugherty, Elizabethtown, and a mat- ernal grandmother, Lena Lantz Hutton, Maryland. Awa WM. Cramer Mrs. Anna M. Cramer, 63, of 8 Apple Alley, Mount Joy, died in Lancas- ter General Hospital Sun- day morning following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of John Cramer. She was a member o: Crossroads Brethren in Christ Church, Mount Joy, and had been a resident of Lancaster County for more than 50 years. Born in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Harriet Pfaunmil- jer, In addition to her hus- band, she is survived by a daughter, Carol L., wife of Harry J. Ebersole, Mount Joy, and these stepchild- ren, Daniel S. Cramer, Gainsville, Fla.; Melvin Cramer, Leola Rl; Edwin S. Cramer, Denver KZ, aud Esther C., wife of John H. Zimmerman Jr., Bain- bridge. Also surviving are two brothers, Charles Pfaunmil- ler Sr., Elizabthtown R3, and John Pfaunmiller, Lan- caster; a sister Beulah, wife of John L. Fuller, Elizabethtown R1; 12 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Geonge R. Shatto George R. Shatto, a barber in Mount Joy for the past S52 years, died unexpectedly Monday at Il p.m. at Columbia Hospital. He has been under the care of a physician. Shatto, who was 65, lived | at 17 E. Main St., Mount Joy. He was the husband of Mary E. Souden Shatto. A barber for the past 52 years, Shatto owned and operated his own baber shop at 19 E. Main St., Mount Joy, for the past 34 years. He was a member of Mount Joy Church of God, a life member of Friend- ship Fire Co. 1, Mount Joy; a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 1074, Columbia; Florin Fire Co., Mount Joy, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 596, Elizabethtown. Born in and a lifelong resident of Mount Joy, he was a son of the late Frank D. and Clara Reiler Shatto. Besides his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Georgiann, wife of George McCue, Mount Joy, and two grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Eliza- beth. Hey H. Wally Henry H. Waltz, 70, Milton Grove, died Thurs- day at 3:20 p.m., at his home. He had been under the care of a physician. Born in Ralph Township, he was a son of the late Abram and Leah Hartren- narf Waltz. He was the husband of Gertrude Zink Waltz. He was retired from the J. U. Baker Co., after 30 years service with the com- pany. Besides his wife, at home, he is survived by six sons and six daughters: Betty G., wife of Ammon Hoke, Hummelstown R2; Henry H., Jr., Columbia R2: Vivian A., wife of Earl Brodhecker, Rohrerstown; Ethel W., wife of Albert Acosta, Lancaster; Vera W., wife of Neil Strickler, Ephrata R2; Velma W., wife of Robert F.
