" evening would be November 24, 1976 Leisure club meets at Hostetters The Mount Joy Leisure Club met recently for its monthly meeting at Hostet- ters with 130 members and guests present. President Joe Shaeffer officiated. There was a moment of silent prayer for departed member George Groff after ‘which the invocation was given by Arther Braum. A committee of men under the capable hands of Chairman Dave Stauffer, served a delicious dinner, prepared and served by the committee. Following the dinner the meeting was called to order by the president with the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Nedra Brandt presen- ted the secretarys report and Kathryn Zink the treasurers report. Elizabeth Hassinger of the Sunshine Committee reported 11 cards sent to shut ins. Birthdays and anniversaries for the month of November were honored. One new member Hellen Barto was introduced and one visitor Mrs. Nellie Stoner was introduced. Under old business Pres- = ident Shaeffer announced the Christmas party would be December 8 at Hostet- ! ters and began at 6:00p.m. The entertainment for the the : x Kitchen Band, a goup of ladies from Lititz. A com- mittee under the chairman- ship of Bertha Foreman decided on the menu for the party and the president informed those present what the menu would be and the cost would be $4.25 to non members and i$3.2S for members. Their report would be presented at the December meeting. PFC Eileen Grimm takes food course Army Private First Class Eileen N. Grimm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean N. Grimm, Route 1, Marietta, recently was named honor graduate of the hospital food service specialist course at the Army Acad- emy of Health Sciences, Fort San Houston, Texas. During the 12-week course, she learned how to prepare regular and modi- fied diet meals for hospital patients. Training also in- cluded use of diet therapy instruments and instruction in preparing special foods to comply with prescrip- tions. PFC Grimm is a 1975 graduate of Donegal High School, Mount Joy.
