Dissinger, counselor with the PA Bureau of Vocational Re- habiliation’s District Office in York, has been named Elkins Counselor of the Year for the state of PA by the PA Rehabilitation Counselors’ Association. The award was presented Tuesday afternoon at the York District Office by Ms. Dina Creighton, represent- ing the PRCA. Mr. Dissinger is a 12- year veteran of the Bureau. He is a native of Lancaster County and presently re- sides at R.D. #1, Columbia with his wife, Jane, a teacher in the Elizabeth- town School District, and his three children. His pre- sent assignment is in the northwest quadrant of Lan- caster County as a general caseload counselor. How- ever, Dale has had exper- ience in many other assignments ranging from rural areas to innercity to specialty programs, includ- ing two years as the super- vising counselor for all training facilities for the Bureau in Lancaster and York Counties. The Mount Joy Junior Midget baseball team had a picnic last Sunday to celebrate a successful sea- son. The thirteen boys won the Northern Division of the Red Rose League and the Mount Joy Midget tournament. They placed second in the Lancaster New Era and the Landis- ville tournaments.
