A PLRB hearing was scheduled for September 16 at 10:30 a.m. in the Lan- caster County Courthouse. In other business, the school board referred to committee a request from the Donegal booster club that the boosters be allowed to erect lights on the high school football field. Edgar Jones, speaking for the boosters, said that along with the erection of lights would go the build- ing of larger and better bleachers on the visiting team side of the football field. He pointed out that the lights could also be used by the Donegal baseball team for night contests. Jones noted that by using volun- teer help, the total cost of installation could be cut down. Donegal football coach, Gayne Deshler, speaking in behalf of the booster club said, ‘The lights would add interest to the football program. And the kids just enjoy playing under the lights." Dr. William Landis, school board president, re- ferred the request to the public relations and extra- curricular committee head- ed by Dr. Harold Fellen- baum.
