Page 18 - SUSQUEHANNA TIMES Prizes and skydivers at the Am. Legion easter egg hunt The annual Easter Egg Hunt, April 17, at the American Legion Post home was well attended. Part of the excitement was the de- cension of sky divers to the Easter egg hunting grounds. After the sky divers made a precision jump the child- ren gathered colored eggs. Prizes were awarded at the gathering. Josefa Santi- ago won a prize because she was the eldest present. Judy Pavne traveling the furthest distance and Kristen Sprecher won a prize be- cause she was the youngest present. In the 0-3 age group, David Brosey, Chris Santi- ago, Shane Campbell, Chris Kohr, Stephen Lowery, Ellie Payne, and Michelle Sevast were the lucky ones finding prize eggs. In the 4-6 age group, prizes were won by Jodi Maurer, Billy Eisenhauer, Billy Hanna, Renee Grube, Ronnie Bortner, Richard Frey, Rickey Shaak, Lisa Frey, and Jeffrey How. Love Oatman, Virginia Macken, Betty Peters, Christine Brown, Karen Charles, Jeff Meckley, Craig Depoe, and John Hall were those winners in the 7-10 age group. Those in the 10-12 age group who won were Brian Randler, Alice Hagens, Clay Eshleman, Mike Arm- strong, Diane Bowers, Deb- bie Showalter, Doug Germer and Steve Ishler. MJ Welcome Wagon holds last meeting by Susan Back The last dinner meeting of the month was held at the Mount Joy Legion, April 21, 1976 at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker was Dr. Nancy Tischler who spoke on "Morality Today." We welcomed 3 guests and one new member and the hostesses reported they have made 24 calls during the month. The joint board meeting is scheduled for April 28 at 7:30 p.m., at the Mount Joy Legion. Each outgoing chairperson must have two copies of their reports. Installation will be held Saturday, May 1 at Mr. Lacy's Lounge, Marietta at 6:30 p.m., all monies must be to Thelma Rankin before May 1, for the following new officers: President-Sharon Roberts; Vice President- Cheryl Deck; Secretary- Mary Ann Mellaby; Trea- surer-Doris Landers. All reservations had to be sche- duled ahead of time. The club is planning to make their yearly excursion to Mount Gretna, June 16. We will car pool from Weis Market, Mount Joy about 5:15 p.m. All reservations must be made to Janice Shelly no later than May 24. Remember no one can attend without a reserva- tion! Smith participates in Triathlon Invitational town Square, PA on April 16 and 17. Cadet Smith placed third in the swimming as he set a new Academy Record of 2:10 in the 200 meter freestyle event. Teams from as far as the state of Texas and Canada were there. Cadet Smith is a 1975 graduate of York Suburban High School where he served as Swim Team Cap- tain and Class President.
