Mullen, 43, Mount Joy R1, died at 11 a.m., Fri- day at Lancaster General Hospital after an illness of three weeks. Born in Perry County, he was the son of Elsie B. Mullen and the late Paul Mullen. He was self-em- ployed as a Mount Joy masonry contractor. An Army veteran of the Korean conflict, Mullen was a member of the Mount Joy Veterans of Foreign Wars; Elizabethtown American Legion and past commander and chaplain of the Eliza- bethtown VFW. He is survived by six children: Darren L., with whom he resided; Darlene, wife of Gerald Winters, and Deborah, both of Lebanon; Ledora. Elizabethtown; Danira V. Mullen Heistand and Dorjan R. Mullen Heistand both of Elizabeth- town. Mullen is also survived by two granddaughters; mother, Mrs. Elsie B. Mullen and a sister, Esther R. Weit, both of Hershey. GEORGE RAPP George Rapp, 71, of 566 East Front Street, Marietta died at 8:25 p.m., Friday, ai Columbia Hospital. He was born in Marietta, the son of the late William and Maggie Shields Rapp. He -was retired from the former Donegal Steel Foun- dry, Marietta. In addition to his widow, Helen M. Edye Rapp, he is survived by three daugh- ters: Shirley, wife of John L. Linda, wife of Jay R. Sen- senig, Rothsville; and Dar- lene, wife of Wayne Gil- christ, Pittsburg. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, five sisters and two brothers: Marie Edye, Columbia Rl; Mrs. Glady Foulk, York; Mrs. Pearl Viscotti, Baltimore, MD; Mrs. Ammon Binge- man, Mifflinburg; and Mrs. Anna Zink, Marietta; Earl Rapp. Marietta, and Max Rapp, Columbia. MAGGIE M. KNISLEY Mrs. Maggie M. Knisley, 8S, of Maytown, died Sun- day afternoon at the Baily Nursing Home, Elizabeth- town, after a long illness. She resided there the last Six years. Born in York County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ellen Hake Leber: she was the widow of Howard H. Khnisley who died in 1961. She was a member of the Maytown Church of God. Surviving are a son, Harry W., Springfield, Ill.; four daughters: Mildred M. McKain, Bainbridge; Grace K. Hoffman, Mount Joy; Minerva P., wife of William C. Mundorf, Bainbridge and Betty J., wife of Lloyd Seifred, Lancaster. Also surviving are four sisters: Katie Moul; Mae, wife of Frank Klinefelter and Pauline, wife of Ervin Garret, all of York; Jean, wife of Herald Graff, Mount Wolf. Other survivors are 11 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren, and nine Goretzke, Rohrerstown: great-great-grandchildren. The Eisenhowers celebrate 50 years Mr. and Mrs. George Herman Eisenhower, 626 East Market Street, Mari- etta, were honored by their children with a 50th Wed- ding Anniversity drop-in party on Saturday, May Ist at their home. The Eisenhowers were married on April 30, 1926 in Hagerstown, Maryland. They are the parents of 4 sons and a daughter: Elmer, Lakeland, Florida; Glenn, Hagerstown, Maryland: Dennis, Mount Joy; Victor and Eilene, Marietta. They have 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mr. Eisenhower is em- ployed by Penncast in Mari- etta.
