In recent years the hobby of collecting porcelain plates, or plates of any other material such as pewter, depicting historical places and events has grown by leaps and bounds. For example, plates produced for the Hershey Coin Club in recent years and depicting the heritage of Hershey, PA often sell at auctions as high as $25.00 each.
