One of the new initiatives by the group is a Web site, www.BackMountain.org, that emphasizes all aspects of the ar- ea - community, culture and commerce. The council encourages orga- nizations to list events that are open to the public on the com- munity calendar. To fully publicize the exist- ence of the Web site and to drive traffic to it, the council has coor- dinated a billboard “blitz” for Monday, March 1, and is asking all businesses with letter or electronic signs to display www.BackMountain.org, be- ginning that day. Lamar Adver- tising has also donated time on several electronic billboards to display the site and logo. Any questions concerning this coordinated event should be directed to Carol Wall at 574- 4974 or Liz Martin at 362-2890.
