He was in the furniture business with his parents in Forty Fort for many years and, prior to his re- tirement, was the controller for the Redevelopment Authority of Luzerne County. He was formerly a member of Forty Fort United Methodist Church where he taught men’s Sunday School class and was chairman of the Mission Board. He was a life member of the Forty Fort Firemen’s Association and former treasurer of the Forty Fort Firemen’s Relief Association. He was a former vice chairman of the Municipal Authority of Jackson Township. He was a member for more than 50 years of Masonic Lodge No. 395 F&M Caldwell Consistory and Irem Temple, where he was robe mas- ter for the ritual cast.
