DHS Grad Lock-In is an alco- hol-free, drug-free, fully-chap- eroned, all-night party for the graduating class. It will be the ninth lock-in and will be held after graduation on June 13. New ideas and members are welcome. Seniors are reminded to sub- mit pictures for the Lock-in video right away. Senior pic- tures and a baby or toddler picture are requested. All pic- tures will be returned. Wyoming Seminary plans visitation day The Wyoming Seminary Up- per School in Kingston and Lower School in Forty Fort are offering area elementary, middle and high school students and their families an opportunity to visit the schools on Monday, Feb. 18. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Visiting students will at- tend classes, tour campus and have lunch in the school cafete- ria. Tours of the Upper and Lower Schools for parents also will be offered. Gilligan named to Dean's List Cadet Kathryn Gilligan, daughter of Martin and Mary Barbara Gilligan of Dallas, at- tained the Dean’s List for the fall semester at the United States Coast Guard Academy, New London, Ct. She also received recognition on the Comman- dant of Cadets’ List for Excel- lence in Military Bearing. A 2007 graduate of Dallas High School, Gilligan was also named as a Rookie of the Year for the women’s cross country team. Teachers attend Misericordia program Teachers from the Dallas School District were among more than 100 high school teachers from a nine-county area who attended the Financial Literacy Institute for Junior and High School Teachers and Stu- dents recently at Misericordia University. The Financial Literacy In- stitute is a product of Wall Street West, a non-profit part- nership developing backup operations in Northeastern Pennsylvania to support New York City’s financial district in case of a natural or manmade disaster. Members of the Dallas Forensics Team, which has participated in three tournaments this year, are Michelle Banta, David Hunter, Anna Kammen, Lauren Kelly and Rosemary Shaver, seniors; Erica Miller, Susanna Parme- lee and Emily Baut, juniors; Hillary Grube, sophomore; Shannon Brobst, Alyssa Dolman and Emma Pfeiffer, freshmen.
