They were all there at the Bless- ing of the Pets held at Prince of Peace Episcopal Church in Dallas. The Rev. Jim Stevenson, pastor in charge at Prince of Peace, had the honor of blessing all of God’s creatures during the ceremony held outside the church. The ceremony was held on the feast of St. Fran- cis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. MR. AND MRS. JOHN WAYNE WEAVER Stager, Weaver wed Kimberly Jean Stager and John Wayne Weaver were unit- ed in marriage on Saturday, Au- gust 18, 2007 at the Irem Coun- try Club, Dallas. The outdoor ceremony was performed by Pastor W. James Pall. The bride is the daughter of Helen Edwards Stager, Dallas, and Joseph and Sally Stager, Shavertown. She is the grand- daughter of the late Jeanne and Henry Edwards and the late Margaret and Joseph Stager. The groom is a son of Hazel Wasserott, Forty Fort and the late Charles Wasserott III. The bride, escorted by her mother and father, was attend- ed by Cathy Snyder, maid of honor; and bridesmaids Sara Nafus, Lauren Nafus and Megan Nafus. The groom chose James Loefflad as *@ man. Groomsmen include Paul Menzel, David Ash and Jo- sef Moses. The bride is a graduate of Dallas High School and the University of Scranton with a master’s degree in health ad- ministration. She is employed by Community Medical Center as a director of operations and strategy. The groom is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and Luzerne County Community College. He is em- ployed by Quad3 Group as a! land, planning and utilities de- signer and as an adjunct in- structor at Luzerne County Community College. FALL RUMMAGE SALE PLANNED AT DUMC PRINCE OF PEACE GROUP ENJOYS HAYRIDE The Dallas United Methodist Church will hold its Fall Rummage Sale on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20. Friday hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, which is Bag Day, from 9 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be served and a bake sale will be available. SUBMITTED PHOTO The children and adults of Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, Dallas, enjoyed a hay ride at the Whistle Pig Pumpkin Patch in Noxen. The morning started with service at the church, the trip to the pumpkin patch and a hay ride to the pumpkin fields. Each adult and child picked a pumpkin to take home. The hay wagon dropped the group at a small grove for a picnic lunch, including roast- ing marshmallows and the making of S'mores.
