The assembly “The Weather Show" was pre- sented by The Franklin Institute Traveling Science Show. The students learned what is needed to make a storm. Many students were used for demonstrations and were amazed by seeing lighten- ing and clouds created inside the gymnasium. BACK MOUNTAIN YOUNGSTERS TO PERFORM IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL Dallas resident Rene Rismondo, 10, will play a caroler in the Music Box Players production of A Christmas Carol, which opens Nov. 25 and runs through Dec.17 at the Music Box Dinner Playhouse in Swoyersville. Rismondo is a student at Dallas Elementary School. She has appeared in numer- ous productions at the Music Box, including Annie, The Pied Piper, Children of Eden and Evita. Shavertown resident Ryan Hertel, 13, will. play Tiny Tim's older brother Harry in A Christmas Carol. Hertel is a also a student at Dallas Elementary School. He played a role in The Pied Piper and attended the Summer Theatre Workshop the last two years.
