The Bobcats battled the Dallas Junior Mounts in the Wyoming Valley West Junior Football League. A DIVISION Tyler Shutlock scored two touchdowns, while Dustin Siper- ko, Brett Wanek and Kevin Mul- doon each scored one as the Ju- nior Mounts cruised to a 34-8 win against the Bobcats. Shutlock scored on runs of 10 and four yards. Siperko scored on a 50- yard fumble ‘return, Wanek scored from 15 yards out and Muldoon registered a 60-yard touchdown run. Jake Simon scored a touch- down for the Bobcats, while Adam Goeringer added a two- point conversion. B DIVISION The Back Mountain Bobcats and the Dallas Junior Mounts battled to a 26-26 tie last week- end at the high school field. Dal- las opened the game with a 12-0 lead before Back Mountain bat- tled back to make it 12-12. The score stayed that way until the fourth quarter and at the end of regulation the game was tied 20- 20. Each team scored a touch- down in overtime but neither could score in double-overtime. Dallas took an early lead on a 50-yard touchdown catch by Alex Barillo. Michael Gallis added an- other touchdown on a 1-yard run. Ryan Zapoticky scored two touchdowns for Dallas, an 84- yard kickoff return and a 1-yard run. C DIVISION The Back Mountain Bobcat C team remained undefeated by outlasting the Dallas Junior Mounts, 8-6, in a hard-fought bat- tle last weekend. , The Bobcats took the lead on their first offensive play from scrimmage, a 50-yard run by tail- back Justin Mucha. Mitchell Ben- son added the 2-point conversion to make the score 8-0. For the re- mainder of the game both teams played outstanding defensive. With less than four minutes re- maining in the fourth quarter, Dallas quarterback Cole Dixon ran for 45 yard to set up a 5-yard touchdown run by Ryan Check- iewicz to make it 8-6. The conver- sion attempt failed as the Bobcat defense stopped Dallas inches short of the endzone. The Bobcats sealed the win when Mucha made a first down on fourth-and-12 with less than a minute to play. Sam Parente and brothers Adam and Jeremy Bur- ton played well defensively for the Bobcat defense. The team travels to Edwardsville today with kickoff set for 12:15 p.m. D DIVISION Three different players scored touchdowns as the Dallas Junior Mounts D team raised its record to 2-0 with a 30-14 win against the Back Mountain Bobcats. Conner Phillips and Ray Centanni each scored a touchdown while Xavier Barber had a pair, including a 75- yard scamper. The offense line was led by Ryan Phillips, Sterling Barnes, Josh Lydon and Izaiah Calpin. KT RAIDERS The Kingston Township Raid- ers posted a 2-2 record against Duryea last weekend in the Wyoming Valley West Youth Football League. The A and B teams lost, while the C and D teams posted their second wins of the season. In the A division game, the Raiders posted a 20-0 win behind an outstanding defensive game led by Jason Anderson. Anderson forced a Wildcat fumble and scrambled 98 yards to put the Raiders on the board in the first quarter.
