COMMUNITY The Dallas Post Sunday, May 15, 2005 ‘Adrienne’s Garden’ awards honor young artists The 10th annual “Adrienne’s Garden” Art Awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 22 from 1to 3 p.m. at Tyler Memorial Hospital. The awards are presented by the Tyler Health Foundation as a memo- rial to Adrienne P. Maillet and - her love of art. Everyone who attends the event will be asked to cast the ballot for the “People's Choice” award, which will be presented to the student whose artwork is chosen as the favorite piece. Recipients of the art awards are kindergarten through eighth grade students who have demonstrated an apti- tude for art during the aca- demic year. The awards recog- nize the students for their accomplishments and encour- age further development of their talents. These awards spotlighting and encouraging students have sparked a noticeable growth in the num- ber of students pursuing careers in the visual arts. This early recognition of talent con- tinues to shape the lives of the award winners through their school years and beyond. The awards are funded totally through donations. The award presentation will occur at 2:30 p.m. in the first floor lobby of the hospital. The award-winning entries will be on exhibit in the fourth floor . 5) 0 name Eg en Am A Wid Cadie Nichols waiting area of the hospital, where “Adrienne’s Garden” is displayed from 1-3 p.m. Winners of this year's awards are: Cadie Nichols, Brianna Grey, Cédric Gauthier, Cory Jones, Peter Horger, Cody Dunlap, Courtney Brown, Jennifer Bulford, Thean Hoefert, Megan McCauley, Buckingham, Saundrine Gauthier, Race Sick, Kyle Nichols, Fallon Bush, Marcus Moyer, Jessica Davidson, Christin Wolbers, Morgan Dixon-Clark, Joe Saunders, Melissa Van Artsdalen, Steve Harris, Eric Coolbaugh, Doug Manning, Bryant Smith, Nate Kayla Shotto, Sarah Mayer, Holt Wiggins, Morgan Dodge, Rachel Caudell, Catherine Trexler, Jordan Mahon, Seth Jones, Jeanette Shao, Zachary Edmondson, Stephanie Kridlo, Josh Colley, Katie Proulx, Richard Condeelis, Jenna Downs, Cynthia Sherry, Taylor YOU CAN HELP Donations are welcome to encourage the growth and prosperity of young artists and to assist in continuing the award program.
