Local dancers in ‘Nutcracker’ Many Back Mountain residents will appear in Ballet Northeast’s 20th annual full-length, traditional “Nutcracker” at the Wilkes University’s Dorothy Dickson Darte Center. The final perform- ance will take place Sunday, December 14 at 2 p.m.. Featured in the principal roles of the Sugarplum Fairy and her Cavalier in this holiday family classic will be professional guest artists Dianna Warren and Robert McFarland of New York City’s Metropolitan Opera Company Ballet. Joining them in the role of the Enchanted Nutcracker will be their colleague Edwin Silfa. Among those sharing major supporting roles will be Kaitlyn Moody of Dallas in the role of Klara. Amy Puffenberger of Dallas will share the lead Arabian role. Kingston’s Kristin Davison of Dal- las will be alternate lead in the demanding Russian trepak.
