Brian Mully and Scott Arnold will see time at nose tackle, and Roper, Rusonis and Galka will platoon at defensive tackle. Little returns at defen- sive end, and Gemberling, Glenn Ashton and Brandon Burkhardt will battle for time on the other side. LINEBACKERS: Although Strenfel and Mike Mully started last year on defense, Langan said they will start at inside linebacker for the first time. SECONDARY: Matt Ide is back at safety, as is Harris at outside Monster back. Mahon, an honorable mention last year, is back at corner, but Langan said the other cornerback posi- tion is up for grabs. Besteder, Cragle and Wren have worked out there. OUTLOOK: Four out of the first five games for Lake- Lehman are at home, and four of the last five are away, mak- ing it necessary for the Black Knights to gain a home field ad- vantage immediately. “Our schedule is kind of strange,” Langan said. “We're basically going to have to be road warriors the second half of the season. We'll have to capi- talize on those first five home games to set us up for that long road trip at the end of the sea- son.” A lot Lehman's success will rest on the offensive line’s abili- ty to make up for the inexperi- ence in the backfield, which could make for a long season. “The area we have to be most concern with is the inexperi- ence of the offensive backfield,” said Langan. “Basically, I have five or six guys in the backfield working by committee. Hopeful- ly, one of them will rise to the top, or basically well go by committee through the course of season.” Tell our advertisers you saw them in The Dallas Post.
