This property is owned by and under the direction of The Nature Conservancy (TNC). The site was donated to TNC in 1956 by Francis R. Cope, Jr. and fam- ily. It is located just south of | Montrose in Susquehanna County. The walk will take approxi- mately two hours. It will be mod- erate terrain; not too strenuous. Wear proper footwear for hiking. No dogs are allowed at this pre- serve. Please remember, if you bring snacks you must carry out any and all trash. There are no comfort facilties. Directions from the South: From Routes 6 and 29 in Tunkhannock, travel north on Rt. 29. The Preserve is precisely 16 miles north of the Prince Hotel and about 25 miles away. At 15 miles note the blinker light at Elk Lake Corners. One mile north of the light on the right at crest of hill you will see a Woodbourne sign. Turn right into parking lot. If you pass the redwood fence and start going downhill, you went too far. DAMA, their col- lection agent, advised them there ~ were 13 delinquent accounts al- most $3,800 in arrears. Each gave a blessing, and then _ the classic hymn “Amazing Grace” was sung. The preliminary cleanup of the cemetery has been completed, and the final stage of work will be done in the spring. Boy Scout Sean Smith plans to spend the winter months doing research on the cemetery as another part of his Eagle project.
