Dough Company 36 - Dallas Rotary 17 Kara Ringler, Shannon Thomas and Kristen Evans led a very balanced scoring attack to improve to 5-0 after 5 weeks of play. Leading scorers for the pizza bakers were Evans 13 points, Thomas 8 points and many rebounds and assists. Ringler 7 points, Sarah Pieczynski, Katie Smith and Nikki Pisacano 2 points apiece. POST PHOTOS/JIM PHILLIPS Dallas pounded Bishop O'Hara on the mat Saturday, coming away with a 66-6 win. O'Hara's only points came on a win by forfeit at 125. Dallas won five matches by forfeit, and five matches with pins in less than a minute, some of them against O'Hara girls. In photos above, Mike Ruggere, left photo, won in at 112 nine seconds. At right, Jamie Raub had more of a battle, but ended up pinning his CDI - Forty Fort 24 - opponent in 2:23. & Penn State Seed 16 In a well played game on both sides, CDI came up with the victory. Robin Razawich was high scorer for CDI with 18 points. Margie Gelso, Stephanie Konecke, and Brittney Allan each scored with a basket. Courtney Taylor and Nicole Mad- den played strong defensively. Laura Nieman with 8 points and Kathleen Paley with 6 led Penn State Seed’s offense, while Jessica English added a basket. Jackie Lowe and Katie / \ 3 Gilligan had good defensive games. GOH 7th Grade Girls win tourney The Gate of Heaven 7th Grade Girls Basketball team recently took first place in the St. Mary’s Old Forge Holiday Tournament with a 37-35 win over Holy Rosary of Duryea. Janelle Zabresky and Sandy Krogulski led all scorers with 16 and 10 points each. Katy Whalen and Liz Clements provided the defensive spark in the back and forth finale. In the semi-final game, Devin Carey, Kim Durr and Janelle Zabresky led a balanced scoring attack contributing to a 40-34 win over St. Mary’s Avoca. Zabresky also had a career-high 21 rebounds. The Gators defeated St. John the Baptist, Pittston in the opener 33-27. In a true team effort, Kristen Evans, Lauren Adamchak, and Melissa Milo paced the Gators with solid ! efforts on both ends of the court.
