Sister Circle to hold meeting on Aug. 24 The Sister Circle of the Dallas - United Methodist Church will be holding their annual Ice Cream Social on Sun., Aug. 24, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the front lawn of the church. This year’s entertain- ment will be a talent show with a variety of acts. So bring your appetite for ice cream and your talent for the show. Tickets will be sold at the social, $3 for adult and $1 child, for all the ice cream you can eat including make your own banana splits. A bake sale will also be held. Lehman Township school district tax bills mailed July 17 Lehman Township Tax Collec- tor, Peggy Moyer announced that the 1997 Lake-Lehman School District property and per capita tax bills were mailed July 17. The bills have been mailed to the last known address. Anyone not re- ceiving their property or per capita tax bill should notify the tax col- lector. Responsibility to receive the tax bills rests with the prop- erty owner or resident. Per Capita taxes are issued to all residents 18 years of age and older. For homeowners having an es- crow account, promptly forward the property tax bill on to your bank or mortgaging company for payment. Residents are reminded that payments must be received or postmarked on or before Sept. 15 to receive the two percent rebate. Face value will be from Sept. 16 through Nov. 13; and penalty value from Nov. 14 through Dec. 9. Please note that these dates are listed at the top of each tax bill along with the office hours of the tax collector.
