In order for the Park to look its ‘best for the upcoming Earth Week and into the Summer Season, it is necessary to remove the trash left behind by the negligence of oth- ers. The Clean-Up makes an excel- lent Earth Day project for groups. Prizes will be awarded for partici- pants finding “special” litter dur- ing the clean-up. Any interested individuals or groups can call the park for more information at 696- 9105 and ask for Jerry, or just arrive at the Park Office on Sun- day between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Ball benefits Make-A-Wish The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern Pennsylvania recently recognized the efforts of its 2nd Annual Charity Ball Committee which raised over $3,000. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern Pennsylvania is an 11-County regional institution whose mission is to grant wishes to children with terminal illnesses ‘or who suffer from a life-threat- -ening medial condition that cre- ‘ates the probability that the child -will not survive his or her 18th birthday. Each wish the local organiza- tion grants costs over $3,000. Currently, nearly 20 wishes of children in the region are out- standing.
