He was a graduate of Bordentown Military Institute and Wyoming Seminary School of Business. Before retiring, he was the owner and operator of the Shangri-La Lodge, Ruggles. He was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Dallas. He was also a member of University Lodge 51, F&AM. Philadelphia; Caldwell Consistory A.A.S.R., Bloombsburg; Irem Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., Wilkes-Barre. He was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
