Mrs. Dougherty is the former Elaine Palo of Philadelphia. They were married at St. Barnabas Church in Philadelphia. They are the parents of three daughters, Kim of Boston, Sharon of Milwaukee and Kristen of Penn State University. The couple renewed their vows at the Church of San Zaccaria in Venice, Italy. In Philadelphia a garnering of parents and children marked the occasion. Back Mountain briefs Habitat to meet Thursday Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity will hold a community meet- ing 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, at Church of Christ Uniting at Market and Sprague Ave., Kingston. New members are welcome and an £1 orientation to the group's work will be provided. Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical group which brings together individuals and groups to build or renovate housing for ownership by low-income families. Wyoming Valley Habitat was organized this spring and has already helped to make the dream of home ownership a reality for a family in Lake Township. New Life women meet Friday The New Life Church Women will meet for a monthly breakfast, Friday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m. at Picketts Charge in Dallas. Kretchmer Kristel Lynn Poynton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. George Poynton, Jr. of Dallas, and Henry John Kretchmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Kretchmer, Jr., of Mountain Lake, were recently united in marriage in Port Royal Clubhouse, Hilton Head Island, S.C. Rev. Harold P. Lewis performed the double ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her parents, chose her sister, Laura Poynton, as maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Michelle Somers. Jennifer Leigh Geiger, niece of the bride was flower girl. Donald Kretchmer was best man for his brother. Usher was Jeffrey Dennis. Dustin Tice, cousin of the bride was ring bearer. An evening cocktail hour and reception was held at Port Royal Clubhouse, Hilton Head. The rehearsal dinner was given by the bridegroom's parents in The Heritage Room at the Harbour Town Clubhouse. The couple and out of town wedding guests were honored at a dinner party hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cavello at their home on Hilton Head. The bride was honored at a bridal shower given by Laura Poynton and Michelle Somers, Dallas. She was also honored at a bridal shower hosted by Lindsay Bunting, at The S.C. at Hilton Head Island, S.C. Harbour Town Yacht Club, Hilton Head. The bride was graduated from Dallas High School. She is em- ployed as a sales assistant at Lighthouse Realty Co., Hilton Head, The bridegroom is a graduate of Hanover Area High School and Wilkes University, where he received a BS degree in psychology and philosophy. HENRY KRETCHMER Getz named to Who's Who Jason Getz, a sophomore at Dallas Senior High School, has been notified of his acceptance in Who's Who Among American High School Students. Jason is a member of the Na- tional Junior Honor Society, past president of Student Against Driv- ing Drunk, member of the Dallas High School Marching Band and member of the United States Band Association. Jason recently at- tained Eagle Scout rank as a member of Scout Troop 232, Gate of Heaven, Dallas.
