The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Tuesday, November21,1989 9 COMMUNITY Back Mountain Jaycees ranked 5th in state At the recent Pennsylvania Jaycees State Board Meeting, held in Allentown, the Back Mountain Jaycess were ranked 5th in the State out of 240 Pennsylvania Jaycee Clubs. This ranking, the highest in the15 year history of the Back Mountain club, was for the second quarter of the Jaycee cal- endar year which runs from May to April. Back Mountain Jaycee Presi- dent, John J. Jablowski, Jr., said, “this unprecedented move from 18th in the first quarter to 5th in the second quarter was possible because of the members dedica- tion, hard work and involvement in community projects, as well as a 60 percent increase in Jaycee membership growth.” He added, “moving from 36 members in April to over 60 in November, has set our chapter on a strong foundation to launch into continued community involvement for the 1990's.” The Jaycees are a non-profit organizai- ton that train new leaders through community service. Anyone interested in further information about the Jaycees may contact President John Jablowski at 825-0599 or Membership Vice President Bill McCabe at 288-4884.
