Educated in Winnipeg, Mani- toba, Canada, Richardson and his wife, Shirley, have three children and reside in Shavertown. lan Richardson Dostal appointed Program Director at WVFP Residency Julie A. Dostal, M.D., was re- cently appointed Program Director at the Wyoming Valley Family Practice Residency. In her new position, Dr. Dostal is responsible for all administra- tive aspects of the Family Practice Residency, including developing the curriculum for residents and assuring that all accreditation procedures to the various boards are followed. Dr. Dostal completed her under- graduate studies at Macalaster College, St. Paul, Minnesota and received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medi- cal School in Minneapolis, Minne- sota. She completed medical training at the Wyoming Valley Family Practice Residency. Brody has been appointed Director of Engineering for C-TEC Cable Systems, a sub- sidiary of C-TEC Corporation. According to the Group's Execu- tive Vice President Paul W. Mazza, Brody will be responsible for over- seeing the technical and engineer- ing activities of all C-TEC Cable Systems operations, which encom- pass more than 500 miles of cable plant and 72 television signal re- ceiving sites located in a four-state area. Prior to his new appointment, Brody was technical services manager for the Cable Group. He had previously been employed as a broadband systems engineer and a transmission engineer for Com- monwealth Telephone Company, also a C-TEC subsidiary. Brody is a member of the Soci- ety of Cable Television Engineers and is a NABER Certified Techni- cian. In 1983, he received C-TEC's Pursuit of Excellence Award. This award is presented to C-TEC employees who have made contri- butions in excess of job require- ments and whose accomplish- ments have exceeded expectations. Brody holds degrees in both electrical engineering and telecom- munciations from Penn State University. He resides in Dallas.
