The thought was given by Mr. Gelnt that pupils should devoto their time up to tho age of 12 to learning the four fundamental processes, but discussion brought out tho idea that ago cannot bo taken as a standard, tho ability of the pupil determines his progress. Tho subject was well han dled, his main thought being tho teach ing of facts that stand In relation. Tho Articles of Confederation and tho Con stitution should be introduced when the period of history is reached in which they were a necessity.
