Harris, the prospective president of tho Reading Railroad Company, yesterday re signed the presidency of the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company at a special meeting of the board of directors called for that purpose. Mr. Harris' resignation will take effect May 1, upon which datehewill take charge of the Heading company s affairs. He will be succeeded as the chief executive of the Lehigh Navigation Company by Edward B. Leiseuring, who is one of the board of directors. There will be no change In tho personnel of the board, as Mr. Harris will retain his beat.
