TOWN BOARD MEETING Waverly—The town board of the town of Barton held a speaal meeting yesterday afternoon. The matter of the tax rate was taken up but no material change was made. A resolution was passed requir ing the highway commissioner to prepare and present to the town board, at its annual meeting for settlement, a complete report of all tools in their possession of what- ever description, giving quantity, condition, the number of each tool and where located. It is also pro counted for, and that a complete list of all ircn and wooden bridges givicg their condition, size, length, and location shall be submitted. This is required in order that the board may always know how much property there is on band, and shat condition itis in, and to provide against possible loss. om — DOUGLASS RETURNS Waverly—S. S. Douglass, who has figured quite prominently in the newspapers of late because of his expedition into the classic pre cincts of Syracuse in search of a wife, returned home last night.
