LL. & W. station this morning was struck by an incoming train which badly demolished both the goods and truck. A typewriter was among the goods that were ruined. Bond Mary Elizabeth Crans Waverly—Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Crans died after a painful illness of about two months, at her home, 141 Chemung stieet, at about 5:30 o'clock last evening, aged 49 years and nine months. Immediate cause of herdeath was Bright's disease. Deceased was born at Wysox, Bradford county, and removed with her parents to Athens where she resided until about fourteen years ago when she moved to this city. She was a devout member of thg | Episcopal church and was at all | times trying to do something to! She was also a member of the L. 5, B.of LL. F, an organization com- posed of ladies at Sayre. The husband of deceased died eighteen years ago today and since that time Mrs. Crans has acted in the capacity of private nurse. The surviving members of the immediate family of the deceased are a son, Harry Crans, an engi- neer on Lehigh Valley Railroad, and one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Day, both residents of this city One brother, John Eddy, of Wa- verly, and one sister, Mrs. Sherman Packard of Bay City, Mich, mourn her death.
